Antiparos, the once unknown and quaint gem of the Cyclades islands is now becoming a world-class destination. This small and highly “controversial” island is an attraction point to all those who have one thing in common: a thorough dislike for the parade-like holiday style of nearby Mykonos and Paros and wish to be left alone.
And that is exactly what it provides. One is likelier to find nudists than a pair of Prada shoes. No clubbing, no glamour only a laid-back feeling of relaxation spread over the entire island. This is what everybody gets, from backpackers to Hollywood stars, except, of course during high season. Sadly, Antiparos is small enough that it cannot handle all those recently job frustrated tourists that reach its port in search of relaxation and its small and unprepared port becomes a little hectic.
Still, there is a way to enjoy such beauty without having to endure all this fuss. You will either need to travel during low and middle seasons (which is, by the way, the best time to travel to the Cyclades) or choose to travel whenever you wish but get there by sailing boat. A great way to start a holiday!
Our new sailing tour to Antiparos will offer you the opportunity to see (and shoot), as we travel, most of the southern coastline of Paros and if we are lucky enough, sail together led by dolphins and sea turtles.
On our way, always weather permitting, we will visit the Skylight Cave for a swim. Arriving at Antiparos, you will be able to have a cool dip, enjoy a lunch or even walk along the alleyways of the village. No delays for you, everything right on time.
